Out and About

McGregor Mountain Lodge lies in the middle of one of the most special places on Earth. Being in the heart of the Rocky Mountains provides our guests with scenery that takes the breath away, beautiful mountain weather, and all the wildlife you could expect to see in the High Country of the Colorado Rockies. In fact, being located on the southern fringe of the Mummy Range, our property is a wonderful spot to see both the Black Canyon and Mummy Mountain herds of Bighorn Sheep.

We will have pictures of recent wildlife sightings, of beautiful Colorado scenery, or of anything that we think our past/present/future guests may find interesting, all taken from here on the wonderful property of McGregor Mountain Lodge.

Wild Life News - more wild life news...

06-13-2008: This ground squirrel poked his head out for a brief second.

05-26-2008: These young rams spent the overcast morning high on a rock cliff above the lodge.

05-22-2008: We had this American Goldfinch down at the feeder by #17 this morning. He and a few friends were fighting over the remaining seed among other finches and a few stellar jays.

Scenery and Weather

06-13-2008: Flowers and trees are blooming and summer is on its way. Deer Mountain looms in the background!

06-23-2008: This Iris is just one of the many flowers in bloom here at the lodge! Summer had arrived!!

Recent Improvements

06-12-2008: Steve repairs our ailing fence. We have hopes for a new split rail fence in the next year,

04-22-2008: New carpet is being laid in many of the cabins as well as in the lobby! Here, Steve and Carlos move some furniture out of the way for the carpet layers!
